Two men were arrested last week in connection with six burglaries in South San Francisco, police said.

Jesus Gomez, 19, and Henry Perez, 31, were linked to the robbery spree after being stopped by an officer who recognized Gomez as a parolee. During a probation search, the officer discovered an unloaded gun in Gomez’s waistband.

A records check revealed that the gun was registered to a home that had been burglarized recently, police said. After further investigation, police said, they were able to tie Gomez to five burglaries that occurred between February and March. Police linked both Gomez and Perez to the recent burglary.

Police also recovered stolen property from the burglaries, including a handgun and rifle. Gomez is being held at San Mateo County Jail on nine felony charges and Perez is being held on three felony counts.
