Two killed in South City shooting

Two male victims were killed and four other males injured in a South San Francisco shooting Wednesday evening, a police officer said.

Police responded to reports of a shooting near Linden Avenue and Eighth Lane at about 7:15 p.m., police Sgt. Joni Lee said.

Responding officers found two male victims who were pronounced dead on scene, and another that was critically injured. They were found lying on one side of Eighth Lane, Lee said.

The other three victims had apparently fled to the other side of the street, Lee said. Police found them with injuries that were not considered life threatening.

The surviving victims were transported to local hospitals for treatment, Lee said.

No other information was immediately available.
