Two arrested in stabbing of woman outside Bayview bar

Police arrested two suspects Monday in connection with the brutal stabbing of a woman during a bar fight in the Bayview last weekend, cops said Wednesday.

Shamballa Rogers, 39, and Deanna Rattler, 25, both of San Francisco, were arrested at their Potrero Hill homes about 8 p.m. Monday. Rogers was picked up in the unit block of Dakota Street and Rattler in the 1000 block of Connecticut Street.

Investigators say the two are responsible for putting a 32-year-old woman in the hospital with what were first believed to be life-threatening stab wounds. The victim is now recovering from her injuries.

During the incident Sunday, the victim was approached by a woman in her 30s at Third Street and Galvez Avenue about 1 a.m. in front of a bar, police Sgt. Daryl Fong said. During the course of the brawl, on suspect stabbed the victim several times in both arms and the chest while arguing with the other, cops said.

Police were notified of the incident by staff at San Francisco General Hospital, and their investigation led them to Rogers and Rattler. The two are charged with felony attempted murder, conspiracy and assault with a deadly weapon, cops said.
