Turning blue for a cause

Local environmentalists hope to see a lot of blue at City Hall on Jan. 13.

Wear Blue For Oceans is a campaign designed to encourage the federal government to adopt a national policy that protects, maintains and restores ocean, coastal and Great Lakes ecosystems.

Campaign organizers asked supporters to wear blue clothing on Jan. 13 to show that they support the cause.

Events are planned at City Hall on Jan. 13 as part of a national rally to support strong policies that support oceanic health, San Francisco-based nonprofit Pacific Environment announced.
