Transportation Authority to host meetings on infamous Octavia intersection

Once the site of the massive Central Freeway, the intersection at Market Street and Octavia Boulevard is now known mostly for its hazardous safety conditions.

The San Francisco County Transportation Authority, a local planning agency, is trying to change that by embarking on a new study designed to identify planning and transportation improvements at the site.

On Monday, the authority will hold an open house and a public workshop to present updates to its Octavia Boulevard Circulation Study. The open house will take place from noon to 2 p.m., and the public workshop will run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Both gatherings will take place on the 26th floor of the authority’s headquarters at 100 Van Ness Ave.
