Transportation Authority accepting applications for advisory committee

The San Francisco County Transportation Authority has just released its planning vision for the future, and now it wants local residents to help guide that vision into reality.

The SFCTA, a local planning agency, is in charge of establishing short- and long-term transit and infrastructure goals for The City, and earlier this summer, it released its Transportation Plan, a template for future priorities.

To help mold that plan, the SFCTA wants to establish a Citizens Advisory Committee. The CAC, which will meet six to eight times over an 18-month period, will be comprised of transit users, neighborhood group representatives, pedestrians and bicyclists, senior citizens, urban planners and other San Francisco residents interested in future plans for The City.

The SFCTA is now accepting applications for the body, with the submission deadline slated for Oct. 1. The application form for the CAC is here.
