A group of tourists got a rude welcome to San Francisco when they were brutally attacked and robbed by a group of thugs on Friday night, according to ABC news.

The tourists were just checking into the Best Western Americana Hotel at 7th and Minna streets about 11:50 p.m. when an altercation ensued between the tourists and a group of three men and two women who had attempted to use the hotel’s restroom, ABC reports.

Two men in the group of tourists were stabbed and a woman among them was badly beaten. Police told ABC they believe they can close this case quickly because of surveillance footage of the incident and the license plate number of the blue SUV the thugs fled the scene in. The thugs also robbed the victims of their cellphones.

Other guests of the hotel were very disturbed by the attack. Jennifer Rendron and her daughter Helena said the incident was quite shocking. “There was blood all over the street, right in front of the elevator,” Jennifer Rendron said.

The attackers were described as two Hispanic men and one black man, all in their 20s, driving a dark blue Ford Explorer. The stabbing victims, who were visiting from southern California, are expected to recover and the woman was treated and released.
