Top city officials carving turkeys today

The brass is coming out to cook your turkey.

More exactly, The City’s fire chief and police command staff are volunteering today at the Salvation Army to slice your bird.

Chief Joanne Hayes-White as well as the top cops will be at the annual turkey-carving event at the Salvation Army Harbor Light Center, 1275 Harrison St., beginning at 9 a.m.

It is just one of a number of events throughout The City to help kick off Thanksgiving weekend.
