Thuggish women steal dog in San Francisco assault

UPDATE: 12:30 p.m.: Dog, a pricey toy poodle, was recovered.

How much was that doggy in the window? Free, according to a gang of female thugs.

Two women were arrested Sunday in connection with the theft of a pricey toy poodle and assault on its owner in San Francisco's Bernal Heights, police said.

At least one of the suspects is a former friend of the victim. The dispute began in a restaurant in the 3300 block of Mission Street around 3:45 p.m. It then spilled on outside, where an assault occurred and the poodle was taken from the car. The poodle, a "very expensive"  dog, was later recovered, police said.
