A man was brutally beaten and robbed while giving a cigarette to an ungrateful thug at San Francisco’s U.N. Plaza Wednesday night, police said.
The 45-year-old man suffered multiple nonlife threatening injuries in the 10:30 p.m. robbery.
A thug described as a man in his 40s asked the victim for a cigarette, police said. As the victim was fetching him one, the suspect delivered a flurry of punches and kicks to the man, knocking him out. The suspect then reached into the victim’s pocket and stole cash, cops said.
The suspect fled and hasn’t been found.
The victim was transported to San Francisco General Hospital.
