Three armed goons hold up Potrero Hill drinking establishment

Three armed men held up a Potrero Hill bar Friday and stole cash from the register, tip jar and a woman’s purse, police said.

The men, each armed with a gun, entered the establishment in the 400 block of Potrero Avenue about 1:45 a.m., police said.

One of the suspects then went to the register and held the 37-year-old male cashier at gunpoint while he took the tip jar, cash from the register and money from the victim’s pocket.

The other two suspects made the rest of the people in the bar get down on the floor, police said.

And before the trio of goons fled, the suspect who robbed the cashier reportedly swiped a 45-year-old woman’s purse from a table. Police described the getaway car only as a burgundy-colored vehicle, and the suspects only as men in their 20s.

No arrests had been made as of today.
