Thirsty for stolen cash

The punk looked like he needed a drink, but he brought something a bit stronger to the store counter.

A white man in his 30s beelined for the liquor fridge at a store in the 300 block of Crescent Avenue on Thursday around 6 p.m., police said. But the suspect was only pretending to be parched, it seemed, as he pulled a gun from his waistband when he reached the counter, police said.

The clerk emptied the register for the thug, who fled with the cash, police said. No arrests have been made, they said.
