Thief gives cashier the finger

A store cashier may have been somewhat relieved to discover that it wasn’t a gun poking into his back at the shop in the 700 block of Folsom Street on Thursday, police said.

The perp stormed the store around 7 p.m., pushed the 27-year-old cashier toward the register, and used his finger to simulate a gun, police said.

The goon then forced the cashier to open the register, took the cash and fled, cops said. The suspect was described as a black man in his 20s, police said.

No arrest has been made.
