The waiting isn’t always the hardest part

Even waiting for the bus can be dangerous for San Franciscans.

A 33-year-old man was at a bus stop near Van Ness Avenue and Bay Street late Monday night when a group of six to seven Asian males came up and asked him what he was doing, police said.

The victim said nothing and was subsequently jumped by the group of hooligans, police said. The suspects then fled.

The victim was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
