The Daily Outrage: Time to close the curtain on this act

Who: National Endowment for the Arts

What: Approved a pair of grants totaling $20,000 to support performances in Flathead Valley, Montana. The money will go to both the Glacier Sympathy and Chorale for its weeklong classical music event "Festival Amadeus" and the Whitefish Theater Company for its upcoming performance of "Dancing Earth" the nation's foremost contemporary indigenous dance company.

Why it's an outrage: If the weeklong classical music event is so groundbreaking, perhaps it would be able to generate a profit without taxpayer subsidies? And if "Dancing Earth" is such a great dance company, why does it need federal money?

Where to vent: Call the inspector general at 202-682-5400.
