WHAT: A group of professors and graduate students at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock is developing a "new model to manage the vast ocean of user-generated content on social networking sites such as Facebook, MySpace and Twitter.

WHY IT'S AN OUTRAGE: The Office of Naval Research and the National Science Foundation are using government funds to sponsor the research, which aims to provide privacy for people who voluntarily put their personal information online. Don't we still have enemies abroad and cancer to cure?
