The celebrity mentalist has predicted the Republican nominee and the winner of the 2012 presidential election. He successfully predicted that Barack Obama would win in 2008, but he won’t reveal his 2012 pick in advance. Instead, he placed the prediction in four lockboxes, to be opened the morning after Election Day.
Why do you think your prediction is correct? I’m reading people’s thoughts. Invariably, politics come up. I’m not really a fortune teller, I’m more of a mentalist, but since my work deals with tuning in on audiences and what they’re thinking, I get a sense. I’ve been around for a long time, but I’ve never seen more caustic feelings about our leaders. I’m picking up on it very, very strongly.
Will people be surprised by the way the vote goes? Yes, but I can’t tell you why. I think I’m correct, but it’s not written in stone. But I got to tell you something, I really think I’m right.
What if you’re wrong? I can’t think that way.
Here in San Francisco, we’re a little more focused on the mayoral race. Can you predict who will win that? I’ve decided that I’ve got to stay away from other politics.
