Teens not feeling too choice after awards sham revealed

A dark cloud is hanging over the integrity of Sunday’s Teen Choice Awards, which honored excellence in categories such as Olay Fresh Effects Breakout Star (Odeya Rush) and best Instagrammer (Miley Cyrus).

The Christian Science Monitor, recognized leader in total tween dramz, reports that many winners of the 15th annual Teen Choice Awards were notified of their victories well before fan voting had closed.

Frequently shirtless star Cameron Dallas, whose medium is 6-second Vine videos, was still fuming the day after the Fox broadcast. “It’s funny how they told me I won the Viner Award 6 days before the voting ended and made the runners up still tweet to vote for them,” Dallas said in a tweet that was later deleted.

It appeared nominees and fans and alike had missed a caveat on the awards’ website stating “Teenasaurus Rox reserves the right to choose the winner from the top four vote generators.”

Teenasaurus Rox — listed as operator of the awards’ website, not a hip, totally extreme dinosaur — had no comment.
