Tail light violation leads to litany of charges for Bayview teen

A broken tail light led to a young man being booked on three different charges last week in the Bayview.

The 19-year-old was arrested at Van Dyke Avenue and Ingalls Street about 8 p.m. Thursday after officers pulled over the car he was in for the tail light violation, police said.

When the teenager went into his backpack for his ID, he pulled out a bottle of rum, police said. A records check found he also had an outstanding warrant. And he was carrying two joints.

The man was booked on each violation, police said.
