Though it was a quarter-century ago, documents have come to light that show that Sylvester Stallone paid his half-sister millions of dollars to settle her allegations of abuse.
The New York Post reports that Toni-Ann Filiti, who died of cancer last year, claimed physical injury at the hands of Stallone “for years” — something the actor vehemently denies. His mother, Jacqueline, says, “This was nothing more than a shakedown. Toni-Ann was on 65 Oxycontin pills a day, and she threatened Sylvester. A drug addict will do anything. When Sylvester became famous, she didn’t have to hook. He was trying to help her. He caved in.”
Since part of the deal was that Sly would pay Filiti’s psychiatric bills for life, maybe it’s OK to give him the benefit of the doubt on this one.
