Sweden’s Robyn prepares her assault

Talk about juggernauts.

Swedish dance-punk diva Robyn is simply unstoppable. Not only is she preparing yet another assault on these shores in January, backing her futuristic trilogy of “Body Talk” releases, she also just launched an innovative new feature on her website, www.robyn.com.

It’s a first-of-its-kind, entirely interactive experience revolving around her latest “We Dance To The Beat” single, it allows fans to manipulate over a hundred video clips and sounds simultaneously. Once the sights and music are chosen, they can be stored, then repeated, until you’re building your own rhythms/patterns in real time.

But we’d expect nothing less from Robyn, who still runs her own Cherrytree-distributed Konichiwa imprint from her Stockholm kitchen.

Naturally, she’s been nominated for a Grammy this year (“Dancing On My Own”) plus seven Swedish equivalents. She also just performed three songs at the prestigious Nobel Peace Prize ceremony.

So you’d better set your alarms — she should be blasting back through SF any minute now.
