SUV allegedly hit sour note, truck

An unlicensed Belmont man will have to face the music after he crashed while trying to reach for a CD that he had dropped Monday morning, snarling traffic for about an hour, police said.

Jesus Lizarraga-Rodriguez, 26, managed to avoid injury when the 2001 Ford Escape he was driving flipped onto its roof after crashing into a parked sport utility vehicle in the 500 block of O’Neill Avenue about 11:35 a.m., police said.

Lizarraga-Rodriguez was cited for driving without a license.

Police said Lizarraga-Rodriguez veered into the oncoming traffic lane when he dropped a CD and reached to pick it up. His vehicle struck a Ford Expedition parked on the north side of the street before flipping over, police said. A Honda Accord parked behind the Expedition also was damaged.
