Sunday Streets will be making a return to San Francisco this weekend, with the road-closure event taking place in Golden Gate Park and along Ocean Beach.
It will be the second time this year that Sunday Streets winds it way through the park, following the first event in April. Starting at 11 a.m., the 4.5 mile route will cover the entirety of Golden Gate Park, before moving south down Ocean Beach from Lincoln Boulevard to Sloat Boulevard via the Great Highway.
At 2 p.m., the San Francisco Symphony will play a free concert in Sharon Meadow along the event route. There will also be a roller skating event at 6th Avenue hosted by David Miles — the “Godfather of Skate” — and Lindy Hop and Swing Dance lessons at the 10th Avenue overpass on JFK Drive.
