Fake threats are not the bomb. A teenager accused of sending a bomb threat to Burlingame High School using a fellow student’s email account last month is scheduled to be arraigned on a misdemeanor charge Tuesday.
Christine Azzolino, 18, was charged in connection with the Feb. 10 incident that forced a lockdown and evacuation at the school and had four bomb-detecting canine units scouring the campus for explosives, according to prosecutors.
No bombs were found, no one was injured and Azzolino “indicated no intent to carry out the threat,” San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said Tuesday.
The student is currently out of custody after posting $50,000 bail.
