The final words spoken by Steve Jobs before his death have been revealed by his sister in an Op-Ed in The New York Times.
Mona Simpson, whose was Jobs' biological sister but did not meet Jobs until she was 25, delivered a eulogy for the late Apple co-founder at a memorial service Oct. 16 at Stanford University.
Jobs died Oct. 5 at his home in Cupertino from respiratory arrest from pancreatic cancer.
The final words from Jobs before his death, according to Simpson, where “Oh wow. Oh wow. Oh wow.”
From the Op-Ed:
“Steve’s final words, hours earlier, were monosyllables, repeated three times.
Before embarking, he’d looked at his sister Patty, then for a long time at his children, then at his life’s partner, Laurene, and then over their shoulders past them.
Steve’s final words were:
OH WOW. OH WOW. OH WOW.”
