  • Representatives of sharing economy companies such as Lyft, Airbnb and more will be speaking at the SHARE conference in San Francisco next month.

Several speakers, including a local legislator and tech executives, have been announced for the upcoming SHARE conference in San Francisco next month, according to a statement.

The conference aims to bring together nonprofits, startups and established companies with sharing economy leaders to discuss possible future collaborations.

The speakers announced include San Francisco Board of Supervisors President David Chiu, angel investor Ron Conway, Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky, Lyft director of community engagement Emily Casto and more.

The conference takes place May 13-14 at the Marines' Memorial Theatre in Lower Nob Hill.

The conference is sponsored by two groups: Peers, an advocate for the sharing economy; and Social Capital Markets (SOCAP), which stands for Social Capital Markets, a group that aims to direct the flow of capital toward social good.

"Peers is excited to host this conversation with such an inspiring group of thought leaders," said Natalie Foster, Executive Director of Peers.

"We are thrilled to be putting on the event that will define the sharing economy with a partner like Peers," said SOCAP Founder Kevin Jones. "Investors, entrepreneurs, sharing movement members, corporate leaders and enlightened public servants from smart cities will find everything they need at SHARE."
