A Southern California man was fatally shot in the Bayview early Monday morning as he was driving his car, police said.

Calvin Sneed, 22, of Compton, was near Bayview Park at Meade and Le Conte avenues about 2 a.m. when he was shot in the head, police Officer Albie Esparza said. Sneed’s vehicle then crashed into a parked car.

He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital and pronounced dead at 5 a.m., Esparza said.

There are no known suspects, Esparza said, and police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crime to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444.

The killing marked San Francisco’s 27th homicide of the year.

Other recent shooting homicides include 18-year-old Deon Walker, of San Francisco, who was killed in the Bayview over Memorial Day weekend, and William Castillo, 21, of San Francisco, who was found by police in Visitacion Valley on May 16.
