A teenaged girl and a woman were injured, one critically, in a shooting in the SoMa neighborhood Saturday, cops said.
Officers in the area of 6th and Minna streets heard gunshots and saw a crowd disperse around 2:45 a.m., police Officer spokesman Carlos Manfredi said. When they investigated they found the two victims lying on the ground with gunshot wounds, they said.
The 15-year-old girl’s injuries were not life threatening, cops said. The 43-year-old victim’s injuries were initially reported to have been life threatening, police said. They were taken to the hospital for treatment. As of Monday, the 43-year-old victim's condition was considered serious but not life threatening, Manfredi said.
Police do not have a suspect at this time but believe it was a man who may have been driving a silver sedan, they said. Inspectors will also be looking for surveillance camera footage from the area that may have captured the crime, Manfredi said.
