Solar power going live in Western Addition 

San Francisco Public Utilities Commission General Manager Ed Harrington and other civic leaders will be on hand for a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday celebrating the use of solar energy at several affordable-housing sites.

As part of a GoSolarSF project, solar power will begin to be generated in a Western Addition neighborhood.

The ceremony takes place at 11:30 a.m. at Plaza East Apartments, 1300 Buchanan St.
