Slick grocery store thief in and out in two minutes

He’s the Thomas Crown of grocery store heists. An efficient burglar took less than 2 minutes to rob a Portola store Saturday night, according to San Francisco police.

Surveillance cameras at the store in the 2500 block of San Bruno Avenue filmed the suspect enter and leave with cash from two registers in quick time, police said.

The robbery occurred at 9:51 p.m. The crook apparently kicked in a door to gain entrance, rifled through the registers and fled.

The store owner called police after returning to the store the next morning, police said.

He was swift but was he smart? Police said the suspect did not appear to be wearing gloves, so they sent in CSI investigators to dust for fingerprints.
