Slandered: Convicted stalker suing victim, city, police for defamation 

WHO: Kevin A. Gary

WHAT: Gary, a Detroit man who in 2005 was sentenced to five years in prison for stalking Harvette Williams, has sued Williams and the city of Southfield and its police, saying they defamed him.

WHY: Williams told authorities Gary vandalized her home, followed her to work and church and called her up to 40 times a day. The lawsuit has prompted Williams to secure a personal protection order.
