Thomas Burnoski, 58, faces felony charges of vehicular manslaughter and hit-and-run in connection with the Sept. 5 incident in which 35-year-old Daly City resident Christine Svanemyr was killed after being run over by a Rec and Park truck. Svanemyr was lying on the grass with her infant child in Holly Park in Bernal Heights. The child was not injured.
Burnoski is alleged to have been driving the vehicle. After leaving the scene, Burnoski had to be persuaded by a supervisor to return and talk to police.
His attorney at the time blamed the incident on an unleashed dog.
Burnoski had been a gardener for the department since 2006.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges during his October arraignment and is currently out of custody on bail, but there are restrictions on his driving privileges.
His prehearing conference is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. in Department 23 of the Hall of Justice.
