These are excerpts from the San Francisco Police Department’s daily log of activities. Incidents are listed by police precincts and the neighborhoods they patrol.
Auto burglary team:An officer responded on a call of three women breaking into a parked car on the 200 block of Beach Street at 2 p.m. June 5.
An employee of a nearby hotel followed the suspects as they boarded a Muni streetcar until police arrived to make the detention. Three 14-year-old youths were taken to the Community Assessment and Referral Center after burglary tools and evidence was located.
Armed robbery: A man reported that two 18- to 22-year-old men brandished a gun and demanded money from him at Sansome and Lombard streets at 11:30 p.m. June 6.
The suspects demanded his wallet and fled on foot to Montgomery Street, where they got into a dark, two-door vehicle.
Out of the way:A woman was jogging near Lake Merced Boulevard and John Muir Drive at 10:20 a.m. June 8 when she became involved in an altercation with a man who was upset that she didn’t move quickly enough out of the way.
The man struck her in the shoulder. When the woman went to her car, the man was waiting there with a stick and threatened to kill her. The suspect left in a truck but was stopped on Vernon Street. He was identified by the victim and arrested on suspicion of battery, attempted felony assault and criminal threats.
Drug bust:Officers arrested a subject on suspicion of sales of heroin and a probation violation on Sixth Street at 3:52 p.m. June 9.
Shots fired: Witnesses reported multiple shots fired at a group of men on the 1200 block of Sunnydale Avenue at 10:30 a.m. June 3. Officers found no victims and 13 shell casings.
Wanted: Officers arrested a man they knew was wanted on two local warrants, one a felony weapons charge and the other a misdemeanor traffic charge on the 500 block of Precita Avenue at 5 p.m. June 3.
