Second victim in Bernal Heights shooting expected to survive, no new leads on shooter

  • Police are still investigating a homicide where a 16-year-old boy was killed. A second victim in that shooting is still critical but expected to survive.

San Francisco police are continuing their investigation into the homicide of 16-year-old Clifton Chatman in Bernal Heights on Saturday night, police Officer Albie Esparza said Monday.

Police arrived to the scene at Alemany Boulevard and Ellsworth Street about 11:14 p.m. and found two victims with gunshot wounds. Chatman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second victim is still in critical condition at the hospital, Esparza said, but is expected to survive.

No further information on suspect or motive was available Monday morning.
