Not even The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger was scary enough to deter one of The City's many rapacious thieves from victimizing the band's van early Wednesday morning.
Sean Lennon, son of the late, great John Lennon, posted on Instagram a picture of the van's smashed window, according to Mission Mission, and wrote a message about the theft of percussionist Connor Grant's laptop, which according to The Guardian, is probably a pretty crucial piece of equipment the band will need for their next show in Seattle.
The van was parked in the tony Hayes Valley neighborhood at Franklin and Hayes streets, which goes to show, nowhere is safe.
The band played The Great American Music Hall on Tuesday night and plays in Seattle tonight. Let's hope they got their equipment back.
Here is Lennon's Instgram message:
Our percussionist Connor Grant's laptop was stolen today in San Francisco! Our van window was smashed this morning as he was getting coffee near Franklin and Hayes. BIG REWARD if computer is returned unharmed! NO QUESTIONS ASKED! If anyone knows anything pleeeeease contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
