So what will be in?
The New York Post has some ideas. Leading the pack is the rather disheveled popstress Sky Ferreira, who has spent the past year as the opening act for Cyrus.
The Post calls her a “potential hot mess,” and she does have a certain debauchery to her. Yet her song “Everything is Embarrassing” was voted among 2013’s best by Spin, The Guardian and the Los Angeles Times.
Also in are John Oliver, who will have a new show on HBO, and Jimmy Fallon, who will take over for Jay Leno at “The Tonight Show.”
The oddest pick: Billy Joel. He has an “open-ended” residency at Madison Square Garden, which makes him more of a legend than hot. But why quibble?
