The romance between Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds has reportedly taken an ugly turn — all because of his meddling mother, according to the ever-reliable Star.
The couple of eight months recently took a sojourn to his hometown of Vancouver, British Columbia — and the “Gossip Girl” actress allegedly ended up storming off after a confrontation with her beau’s mother, Tammy.
“[Tammy] thinks Blake is pressuring Ryan to settle down before he’s ready,” a source says. “He also rushed into his first marriage with Scarlett Johansson.”
The lovebirds are said to be “unofficially engaged” ... and supposedly Tammy would like to see them settle in the Great White North.
“She says when they have kids, Blake and Ryan should raise them in Canada because it’s safer,” the source says.
“Blake refuses to even consider that, saying that she has to be in New York for work.”
And here we thought all TV shows set in New York were actually filmed in Vancouver!
Usher wiped away tears in an Atlanta courtroom while testifying in a toxic child custody case against his ex-wife, Tameka Foster, on Monday. The R&B star got emotional when it was suggested that he’s too busy partying to be a good parent.
The moment occurred after Tameka’s attorney showed photos of him living it up in Europe in February, TMZ reports.
The dad of two sons, who spent hours on the stand in his quest for more time with them, also confessed to smoking marijuana, but said he hadn’t used drugs in front of the kids, per the paparazzi site.
Usher had some not-so-nice accusations against Tameka — claiming that after he arrived at her house with a new girlfriend, she threatened and spit on the woman before throwing a plate of food at the car. Classy!
Billy Bob’s Buddy
Although Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston may not be on speaking terms, Billy Bob Thornton says he and ex-wife Angelina Jolie have “always been friends.”
The five-times-married actor, who grew apart from Angie shortly after she adopted her oldest son, Maddox, gets along so well with her that she wrote the foreword for his new book.
“See, in the press, ladies and gentlemen, sometimes if you get a divorce everyone assumes it was nasty, and it’s not always,” the actor explained on Anderson Cooper’s daytime talk show.
And clearly, Billy Bob is something of a connoisseur of divorces.
