Fans of “The Big Bang Theory” have followed the on-off relationship between Leonard and Penny — but what they didn’t know is that the romantic drama was unspooling in real life with the actors who play them. Katey Cuoco has revealed that she and Johnny Galecki were a couple for two years—until the pressure of keeping it a secret got to them.
“We dated for almost two years. It was such a huge part of my life and no one knew about it," the blonde actress confided to CBS Watch magazine. "This is the first time I've ever talked about it, ever. It was a wonderful relationship, but we never spoke a word about it and never went anywhere together."
Though they decided to keep their love under wraps because they were "so protective of ourselves and the show, and we didn't want anything to ruin that," they ended up splitting in December after chafing under the constraints of their secret.
“We couldn't do anything. It wasn't as fun as we wanted it to be," Kaley explains. "Everyone was always asking, and we deny-deny-denied. And I'm like, 'Why am I denying this person that I love?'"
"We knew we weren't destined to be together,” she says of the “mutual” split, adding that she’s grateful they’ve remained “professional.” But as for Leonard and Penny, "I do think they're meant to be, but it's gonna be a while from now. And I like that they're broken up. Penny needs some other dates. As does Kaley!"
Hmm … think life will imitate art, and Kaley and Johnny will get back together eventually?
Lindsay at Betty
More details have emerged about Lindsay Lohan’s latest—and voluntary—stint in rehab. The actress is holed up at the famous Betty Ford facility, a source confirms to Radar Online.
“She is with us for the time being,” acknowledges the source. “We expect her to stay for the full 90 days; however, she could bounce because there is no court order ensuring that she has to stay.” (Or, a judge could order her to jail. You never know.)
Of course, the troubled starlet has tried treatment before, to no avail. Will this time do the trick?
“Hopefully we will be able to make a difference,” says the source. “If she makes it through the first couple weeks, she should be OK.”
However, LiLo’s estranged father, Michael Lohan, is skeptical, calling the treatment center a “country club” and fuming, “Look at the ‘short"’ list of people who went to Betty Ford. Most if not all relapsed.”
“This will not work!” he proclaims. “Mark my words!”
Way to be supportive.
Jennifer Lopez almost didn’t seal the deal on her “American Idol” judging gig due to her diva demands, according to the rumor mill … and now comes new buzz that she’s acting like a diva on set as well.
Jenny-from-the-block has reportedly already clashed with host Ryan Seacrest over such pressing issues as dressing rooms and top billing.
“Ryan was the one who first suggested Jennifer, but now he’s starting to regret it, because she’s acting like she’s a much bigger star than he is,” an insider told In Touch magazine. “Ryan knows the diva behavior is likely to get worse before it gets better.
Producers are trying to get them to make peace, but their egos are both pretty big.”
Not to inflate J.Lo’s ego even more, but come on — she is indeed a much bigger star than Ryan is.
