Sandra Bullock is setting the record straight on where things stand between her and Jesse James. As her ex-husband prepares to move to her home base of Austin, Texas, so his children can maintain a relationship with their former stepmother, the actress said he has her blessing — but don’t mistake it for a romantic reconciliation.
“I support Jesse in his move to Austin,” Sandra told People magazine. “We have both moved on with our lives and only want the best for each other. Anything else that is said on my behalf is inaccurate.”
It’s been widely reported that Jesse — who was recently spotted getting close to tattoo artist and fellow reality TV star Kat Von D on an intimate Las Vegas dinner date — hopes to win back his Oscar-winning ex-wife. But now, he appears to be accepting that there’s no looking back.
“I think he’s starting to grasp reality a bit more,” a source said, “and the realization that it’s going to take a lot longer and a lot more than he thought to bring things back to what they were.”
Maybe, say, not going out to dinner with a girl who looks like his former mistress would be a start.
Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie may have had a fairy-tale wedding, but they hardly had their heads in the clouds when it came to financial planning. The newlyweds inked a prenuptial agreement before tying the knot in Santa Barbara last weekend in a ceremony that reportedly cost a half-million dollars.
And, if you think Hilary was the one who insisted on the pact, you might be wrong. The “Material Girls” star has no doubt made some bank on her movies, her former TV role in “Lizzie McGuire” and her albums, but her hunky hockey-playing hubby has a nest egg of his own. His entrepreneur dad has a fortune estimated at $500 million.
“It was a totally amicable agreement. They love each other very much and knew this was just a technicality,” a source told the New York Post of the prenup.
There’s nothing as romantic as two crazy kids in love negotiating the hypothetical division of their assets in the event of a divorce.
They just met last weekend, but Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and her new man have already talked about meeting the parents. The “Jersey Shore” fan favorite has won the heart of Iraq vet Jeff Miranda, whom she encountered at a club on — wait for it — the Jersey shore.
“It was almost like an instant connection,” Jeff told Us magazine. “We hit it off really, really good. Nicole is actually really cute and seems like a cool ... person, even though she’s drunk most of the time. She’s a real sweet girl.” (We presume “most of the time” doesn’t include daylight hours, as per Snooki’s recent resolution to stick to after-dark drinking.)
“I really hope it will be something that we can continue,” Jeff said. “I just want a fair chance to see if anything really does come out of it. We were talking about this becoming a long-term thing. She wanted me to meet her dad; she said her mom would love me.”
Mind you, Jeff also said he hasn’t spoken to Snooki since their weekend hookup. So, draw your own conclusion as to whether his romantic dreams will come to pass.
