Size-0 starlet Nicole Richie says rumors of her eating disorder are all a bunch of hooey and is miffed over claims that she’s entered rehab.
"Contrary to CNN’s false accusations, I did not check myself into an eating disorder rehab," she fumes on her MySpace page, People reports. "I don’t know why or how this rumor started, but I am home, in L.A., and very happy."
Richie recently told Tyra Banks that she’s working with a nutritionist in an effort to put on weight. But she also again denied the persistent rumors sparked by her drastic weight loss and bony body. "I do not have an eating disorder, and I don’t know how many times I have to say it. I’ve repeated myself so many times, I feel like a broken record."
Richie ends her MySpace rant by saying: "Whoever started this rumor is evil and mean, but it’s not true. I am happy and healthy and living my life."
Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria and San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker have split up, a source close to the couple says.
"They did break up. It’s amicable," the source told People, adding, "They are talking and trying to figure the best course of action for their future. They are trying to work things out."
"It’s distance and demanding careers and not living in same city," said the source. "It didn’t happen yesterday. It’s been going on for a while."
Longoria’s rep, Liza Anderson, earlier said, "Eva and Tony are going through a very difficult time right now, just like any other couple with extremely demanding careers."
Parker did not discuss his relationship with Longoria during a media day with sportswriters before his team departed for training camp. Longoria, 31, and Parker, 24, met in November 2004.
In April, Longoria told People she is happiest when in a relationship. "There’s no way in the world I would rather be single," she said. "Tony is [happy] too. I’ve said the only reason Tony and I are going to stay together forever is because we’re too lazy to look for someone else."
No one can say that David Hasselhoff, who just split with his wife, doesn’t have a high opinion of himself — he thinks everyone from nubile young things to princesses wants them some Hoff.
First, the actor told 3 A.M. magazine that his daughters — Taylor Ann, 16, and Hayley Amber, 14 — protect him from all those young girls who want him: "Hayley’s always saying, ‘That girl is 20 and she’s hitting on you.’ … She’s put an age limit on my dating. I got her down to 35 but I’m thinking more 28."
That follows the suggestion in his autobiography, "Making Waves," that the late Princess Diana had hit on him. He said at the London launch of the book: "She was smitten with me since I was so tall. I was smitten with her since she was so tall. But she was married and so was I."
But the princess’ former butler Paul Burrell tells the Daily News: "There was never, ever any hint of any date or romance between the two of them. Such a suggestion is as far-fetched as a talking car called K.I.T.T."
Burrell does say that Hasselhoff sent autographed "Baywatch" merchandise to Princes William and Harry.
"The signed photo was of him in his Baywatch pose — all trunks and hairy chest," laughs Burrell. "And I remember the princess laughing hysterically at the photo and turning her nose up."
