Well, knock us over with a feather. After her rep insisted that she is in the habit of holding hands with platonic friends over dinner, Kat Von D herself confirmed she is dating Jesse James.
“And yes, Jesse and I are dating,” the tattoo artist tweeted Wednesday — before hastily deleting the post.
Not that she really needed to spell it out for us anyway, since their recent weekend in Sin City, where they had the dinner date, speaks for itself. “Jesse and Kat drove to Las Vegas together in Jesse’s car. It was just the two of them and they slept in the same room,” a source told People magazine. “They have been friends for years, but this is the first time they are both single.”
Wonder if Jesse was the one who told Kat to retract letting the cat out of the bag? After all, a source just recently told People that while he’s finally “starting to grasp reality” about his divorce from Sandra Bullock, he “realiz[es] that it’s going to take a lot longer and a lot more than he thought to bring things back to what they were.”
Meaning, of course, that he still thinks he has a shot with Sandy. And even if that was the case before Kat’s disclosure, we’re guessing it sure ain’t now.
Is Pete Wentz’s (professional) relationship with his new band’s singer driving a wedge between him and wife Ashlee Simpson?
With the former pop star and “Melrose Place” actress now essentially a stay-at-home mom to son Bronx, she’s gotten jealous of her rocker hubby’s new bandmate, reports In Touch magazine.
The former Fall Out Boy rocker is now performing with the Black Cards, and singer Bebe Rexh, a 20-year-old newcomer to the biz, is reportedly making his wife uneasy.
“Ashlee is making a huge effort to make sure that Bebe feels like she belongs — and knows that Ashlee likes her,” says a friend. But inside, she feels threatened.
“Ashlee is so insecure, it brings out the worst in her,” notes the friend. “She was so worried about Pete straying that she was fighting with him constantly about Bebe. Her friends told her to stop being so controlling or it would drive him away. Finally, she listened. Now that she’s giving him more space, they’re getting along much better.”
Ashlee’s rep denies the story, saying, “Both are committed to their marriage and are each other’s biggest support system professionally and personally.” Sounds more like a therapist than a publicist.
After separating from wife Elisabeth Moss of “Mad Men,” Fred Armisen apparently didn’t waste much time moving on. The “SNL” funnyman is dating fellow cast member Abby Elliott, Life&Style magazine reports.
“They’ve known each other for a few years from being on ‘SNL’ together but after the split, Fred sought comfort in Abby,” says a source, who says they’ve been dating just “a few months.”
Meanwhile, “Elisabeth is doing great and focused on ‘Mad Men’ and is enjoying the single life,” a pal declares. “This news won’t even faze her.”
Fun fact: Abby is the daughter of comedian Chris Elliott, who appeared on “SNL,” making her the show’s first-ever second-
generation cast member. So this romance could potentially be the start of a comedy dynasty!
