It’s about time! After what seemed like the longest pregnancy ever — prompting celebs such as Katy Perry and Chelsea Handler to express their concern via Twitter — Jessica Simpson has finally delivered her firstborn child.
“We are so grateful for all of the love, support and prayers we have received,” the new parents said in a statement.

“This has been the greatest experience of our lives!!”

The new mom and her fiance, former 49ers tight end Eric Johnson, named their bundle of joy Maxwell Drew Johnson … oh, yeah, did we mention it’s a girl?

Hey, at least when the other kids tease her, cousin Bronx Mowgli Wentz will be able to sympathize.

Khloe: Holding Pattern?

Khloe Kardashian’s camp is denying reports that her reality show with husband Lamar Odom is done for. The buzz is that the show was canned after two seasons because Lamar wants to focus on rebooting his basketball career after parting ways with the Los Angeles Lakers and then the Dallas Mavericks in short order.

But “Khloe and Lamar” “has NOT been canceled,” the socialite’s rep insists to People magazine. “It’s just on hold now while schedules are figured out. It will depend on their schedules, as Lamar’s basketball schedule is a
priority.”

We’re guessing that it wasn’t Khloe’s choice to put the show on hiatus — since when is getting airtime not a Kardashian’s top priority?

Scarlett ‘Pigeonholed’?

Scarlett Johansson says she is a serious thespian — not just a sexy starlet. The “Avengers” star maintains that she didn’t purposely work her curves to score screen roles.

“I never wanted to be a sex symbol. I wanted to be a character actor,” ScarJo told the U.K.’s Independent. “Those are the actors I mostly admire. I think women that are curvy can be pigeonholed in that bombshell thing. It’s not like I actively look for sexy roles.”

“It’s not a requirement that my character be pretty and delicate,” she added. “I never think about my character being sexy, unless that’s written in.”

Sure, Scarlett. You just happen to have never once landed a role where being sexy wasn’t written in.
