Scoop: Is Lindsay victim of rehab ‘conspiracy’?

Michael Lohan insists that seeing daughter Lindsay in rehab is what he’s wanted for her all along — and yet he’s still not happy. The starlet’s estranged father believes his ex-wife is part of a “conspiracy” to take over LiLo’s life. Say what?

“I’ve learned of a plot to put Lindsay under a conservatorship,” Michael told Radar Online. (A conservatorship, as we all know from the trials and tribulations of Britney Spears, is when someone else takes the reins of your financial and personal life.)

“It’s disturbing ... the co-conservators would be Dina and Lindsay’s business manager, Lou Taylor,” the ex-con father said.
“They would control literally everything Lindsay does, what projects she has coming up, her finances and the people she sees — and that includes keeping me out of her life,” Michael said. (As far as we can tell, Lindsay does fine keeping him out of her life on her own.)

But wait, wasn’t a conservatorship exactly what Michael wanted to establish for Lindsay? That’s totally different, he said.

“I never wanted to get control of her finances. I wanted a conservatorship for her so that I could weed out the bad people in her life,” he said. “The way Dina and Lou want to do it is to get a conservatorship, line up a bunch of projects for Lindsay when she gets out of rehab, make a lot of money off of them so they can control it and make their due.”

So would he want to be appointed as her conservator? “I’m leaving that up to the courts to decide,” Michael said. “But, of course, I’m Lindsay’s father. I have only her best intentions at heart.”

Of course.

Wedding Deja Vu

OK, the celebrity vow-renewal trend has officially gone too far. It’s one thing to celebrate the fact that you’re still in love after, oh, 5, 10, maybe 20 years (if any celeb couples make it that far). But we think it’s slightly ridiculous that Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom renewed their vows a year to the day after they were married.

Though the Monday renewal was supposedly a surprise, the socialite was blindfolded as her Laker hubby led her to the same site where they were (first) married, she just happened to be wearing a white dress and carrying white roses.

“He removed the blindfold and I was just speechless — I was beyond in shock,” the reality TV star posted on her website.

“It was very intimate,” a pal told Life&Style magazine of the small ceremony.

Uh-huh. Who wants to bet this “intimate” moment will be shared with “E!” audiences on an upcoming “very special episode” of one of Khloe’s reality shows?

Family Law

When we first heard there was to be a new reality TV show about polygamists, our first thought was, “Wait, isn’t that illegal?”

Answer: Yes. Very much so. The cast of “Sister Wives” are finding that out the hard way, as Utah police have announced that they are investigating the Brown “family” — which includes a husband, three wives and a pending fourth, plus 13 kids — for felony bigamy.

“We are disappointed in the announcement of an investigation, but when we decided to do this show, we knew there would be risks,” the family told TMZ in a statement. “But for the sake of our family, and most importantly our kids, we felt it was a risk worth taking.”

Memo to would-be reality stars: If your lifestyle is based around something that is a felony, you should probably not let TV cameras follow you around.
