Jennifer Hudson is finally ready to talk about the brutal 2008 murders of her mother, brother and nephew that turned her life from a Cinderella story into a horror story.
“It’s all a blur; it was surreal,” the singer-actress said on a new episode of VH1’s “Behind the Music.” “It was like I was outside of myself.
“For almost two weeks straight ... [I was] inside one room with just family and friends coming in and out. I prayed when I’d get up in the morning and prayed before I lay down at night.”
One source of comfort for the Oscar winner, who has since married and had her first child, is her own son, who “reminds me of my nephew.”
The resilient “Dreamgirls” star poignantly added, “I want him to get the same love and the same upbringing my mother gave us.”
Britney Spears has strongly denied a former bodyguard’s claim that she abused her two young sons.
According to a British tabloid, Fernando Flores — the same ex-employee who said he quit because the pop star walked around naked — has now accused her of hitting Sean, 4, and Jayden, 3, with a belt.
“Britney doesn’t mean to be a bad mum. But Flores feels she has so many issues she can’t be trusted around her boys,” a source told the U.K.’s Sun.
Social workers are reportedly planning a visit to the Spears homestead to investigate the allegations. If that part is true, we’re hoping they discover the rest of this story is made up.
Another fresh installment of he said, she said in Mel Gibson’s increasingly bitter legal battle with his baby mama: Countering Oksana Grigorieva’s assertion that he hasn’t paid her “a penny” in child support for daughter Lucia, the “Braveheart” star’s attorney said Mel has ponied up “tens of thousands of dollars to support her and Lucia over the past months.” He claimed she’s getting “well over $10,000 a month.”
Oksana’s attorney told TMZ the announcement consists of “complete distortions of the truth regarding Mr. Gibson’s financial contributions toward the parties’ child and conveniently ignores his obligations to the parties’ child under California law.”
“Mr. Gibson persists in attempting to ‘litigate’ this matter in the media, and continues to launch false accusations against the mother of his child,” the Russian singer’s attorney told the paparazzi website. “Unlike Mr. Gibson, Ms. Grigorieva has not, and will not, engage in this type of undignified banter in the press.”
Do we need to point out the irony here?
Well, knock us over with a feather: Vienna Girardi said she’s posing for Playboy magazine. The “Bachelor” winner — whose engagement to Jake Pavelka lasted all of three months — said she needs the cash.
“‘The Bachelor’ didn’t pay me a dime, and I ran through my savings living with Jake,” Vienna told Star magazine. “I need the money. And I want to do something fun and happy for myself!”
Maybe Vienna can hook Jake up with the people at Playgirl magazine.
