School and transit officials to get design 101 lesson

A handful of prominent architects and designers will teach our public officials a thing or two about little changes that can make big differences.

Officials from Muni, the Port of San Francisco and the school district are on the guest list for a San Francisco Planning and Urban Research Association event Tuesday that highlights “multiple design solutions to everyday life.”

A panel from the design community will present simple solutions to some of The City’s most pressing issues, according to SPUR.

Anyone can go to the 6 p.m. discussion, which is moderated by design writer Alissa Walker and will be held at the SPUR offices, at 654 Mission St. General admission is $10.
