A San Mateo County man convicted of killing his fiancee more than 25 years ago was denied parole for the third time Monday in Solano County court.
San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said Craig Anderson was denied parole following an almost four-hour hearing, and will not be allowed another hearing for five more years. He also was denied parole in 2001 and 2007.
Anderson was found guilty of first degree murder in May 1986 for fatally beating his former fiancee Denise Redlick after she ended their engagement. Anderson hid her body in the Santa Clara hills, and it was not found until more than a year after his trial.
He was sentenced to 25 years to life and is being held in California State Prison at Solano in Vacaville.
