  • A man was reportedly caught trying to steal candy from a grocery store on Monday.

Taking candy from a grocery store didn't turn out as easy as taking candy from a baby for this suspect.

A 42-year-old man reportedly walked into a grocery store in the 3300 block of Mission Street on Monday about 3:30 p.m., grabbed a box of candy and proceeded to exit the store without paying, police said.

A security guard went outside the store and confronted the suspect, police said. The suspect resisted arrest at first but then police arrived and took the suspect into custody.

No one was injured in the incident.
