A San Francisco man has been charged with the brutal pimping of a 17-year-old girl, police said.
Jamar Rashad Geeter, 26, was arrested Thursday in a room at the Broadmoor Motel in Broadmoor, where the teenager called for help after months of alleged abuse, according to San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe.
The girl said Geeter choked, beat and threatened her while forcing her into prostitution. While at the Broadmoor Motel, she reportedly called her guardian, who then called police.
Geeter and the teen were reportedly located in the motel room, where unused condoms and three cellphones also were found.
Geeter denied any criminal activity and is currently in custody on $500,000 bail. He is expected to enter a plea Sept. 4, Wagstaffe said.
Geeter is no stranger to the law. In 2009, he was one of three people arrested in connection with a shooting in the Bayview district, according to San Francisco police.
In that incident, police said, Greeter was riding in a Ford Thunderbird with three others. One person in the vehicle opened fire upon a group standing on a sidewalk. No one was hit by the bullets.
