To encourage homeownership among low-income and minority households, among other potential buyers, HomeownershipSF, the Mayor’s Office of Housing and partner organizations are hosting a free housing expo Saturday.

The event, which starts at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Cathedral, is designed to showcase homeownership services and programs available to San Francisco residents.

Future homebuyers can tour available below-market-rate properties, access workshops on down-payment assistance programs; learn about special loans for veterans and disabled people; and meet local Realtors, mortgage lenders and other industry professionals. Services also will be available for current homeowners.
