  • San Francisco firefighters broke up a fight in which the suspect allegedly used a razor blade to cut the victim.

San Francisco firefighters broke up a fight in the Tenderloin on Tuesday, police Officer Gordon Shyy said.

The firefighters were in the 200 block of Turk Street just after 9 p.m. when they saw two women arguing before things turned physical and one of the women reportedly slashed the other in the face and head with a razor blade, Shyy said.

The firefighters broke up the fight and tended to the wounds of the 32-year-old victim. They identified the suspect to police when they arrived and she was arrested.

Inez James, 45, of San Francisco, was booked on attempted homicide and several outstanding warrants, Shyy said. It was unclear what started the argument or if the suspect and victim were known to each other.
